Office 2016 iso install#
If you want to activate volume license editions of Office 2016, Visio 2016, or Project 2016 with a KMS host or Active Directory-Based activation, you need to first install Office 2016 Volume License Pack. File Name: office2016volumelicensepack4324-1002en-usx86.exe. For when you want to completely remove the current office install try running office scrubber and next re-install office. The IMG you downloaded with the heidoc iso downloader is retail, no KMS solution can activate a retail 2016 office install, if it's pro or pro plus, it can be converted to a VL install, next the KMS tool can activate it.

But, Project and Visio are still activated by volume activation methods, such as Key Management Service (KMS) or Multiple Activation Key (MAK). The Office Deployment Tool uses Click-to-Run to do the installation, instead of using Windows Installer (MSI). To help you deploy volume licensed versions of Project 2016 and Visio 2016 on the same computer as Microsoft 365 Apps, we've provided an alternative installation method: you can use the Office Deployment Tool to do the installation of Project and Visio. That's because Microsoft 365 Apps uses Click-to-Run as its installation technology, and in this case, having MSI and Click-to-Run installations on the same computer isn't supported. But that won't work if you're trying to install volume licensed versions of Project 2016 and Visio 2016 on the same computer as Microsoft 365 Apps.
Usually you deploy volume licensed versions of Project 2016 and Visio 2016 by using the Windows Installer (MSI) installation technology.
